Buying A Wedding Gift Is Painful

Buying A Wedding Gift Is Painful. Every time I get a wedding invitation in the mail I get a chill down my spine because coming up with a great wedding gift ideas is a painful process. It’s funny because when I tell my friends and family this they all laugh at me as tell me to just go to the department store the couple is registered at and buy some thing off the registry. Well I could do that but I think that is some what "impersonal". I’ve been to the day after parties were the newlyweds open the gifts. I’ve seen the look on their faces as they open the tenth box of dinnerware. It’s not a pretty sight. You know the minute they open the gift if it will go in the return pile or if it’s a keeper.

Give a wedding gift that will be remembered

Here are a couple of tips that I’ve used successfully to turn my wedding gift buying around. They may seem a little out of the ordinary but that’s exactly what you should be after. Take these tips, think about them and I’m sure you will come up with a great gift that you will be proud to give.

1. What do they love to do together? Answer this question and get them something that they can use doing the activity. For example if the love to snow ski buy them a season pass to the local ski hill, or if the like to golf buy them a round of golf for two, you get the idea.

2. Think about the couples home. What could they use besides the normal dishes and kitchenware? How about some framed artwork for the new bare walls, or maybe hire someone to wash the windows?

These are just two tips that can be used to find the perfect wedding gift. There are sites on the internet that are full of tips like these for people attending weddings. Check them out and buying wedding gifts will no longer be a painful experience.
