Wedding Favors – Saying Thanks with a Candle

Wedding Favors – Saying Thanks with a Candle. Weddings are a special time for the Bride and Groom. The unity of two, who become one in marriage, is a special celebration that you want your guest to remember long after it is over. "Wedding favors" are traditionally given to remind your guests of your happy moment of unity. What better way than to give them candles as a wedding favor. Especially scented candles that will remind them of your wedding.

In the early planning stages of your wedding it is important to choose the theme and within that theme are the flowers. Your choice of flowers also produces a scent and you can add to that theme by adding specially scented candles to augment the desired aroma of your flowers. Even the Unity Candles, if selected as part of your ceremony, can be scented. What this adds to your wedding is the aroma of your selected scent along with the witnessing of your wedding. Together they will make your wedding one to remember.

Taking it a step further, using your specially scented candle, as a *wedding favor* will just adds to your wedding being remembered long after you have left for your honeymoon. That candle you gave as a thank you may be far more than a memento of your wedding. The sight and aroma of the special scent you chose, surrounded by the romantic moments of a wedding may rekindle the romance in married couples, or stimulate those seeking a romantic relationship. What a way to say thanks and be remembered at the same time.

Your *wedding favor* is giving back to those who came to witness your joining. What other way can you give back than using a specially scented candle as your favor? Selecting a candle for use in your wedding ceremony doesn’t have to be white. Traditionally the Unity candles are white tapered candles, but it doesn’t have to be this way for your wedding. You chose the flowers you desired for your wedding. You can add scented colored candles to match. Even as *wedding favors*, the candle you give will keep on giving and saying thanks if the color and scent matches the theme of your wedding. You can choose votives, or ball or pillar candles of the theme color of your wedding and with the scent of your flowers. You bet you will be remembered and your wedding will be remembered.

Even before the actual ceremony, during the wedding shower or during the practice for your wedding, giving an especially colorful candle with your special wedding scent will enhance their experience within your wedding. There are all sorts of ways you can use candles in your wedding. Explore them. Make your wedding a treasured experience for everyone and even more so for you. Remember to have someone save your candles so you will have them when you get back. Save your Unity Candle and make it your Anniversary for years to come. by Daniel Grasser
